- Place the label into the desired position on the garment with the transparent paper facing up. Do not remove the transparent paper at this stage.
- Placing a firm amount of pressure, move the iron over the label for 30 seconds’ minimum.

How to stop kids losing clothes at daycare?
The best way is to label every removable item with a durable clothing label so staff can identify it quickly and return it to the right child. At daycare, jumpers, hats, spare outfits and socks are the most common items to go missing, so consistent labelling makes a big difference.
Why do my child’s clothes keep going missing at school?
Children often take off layers during the day, swap similar-looking uniform items, or leave clothing in shared spaces. When items are unlabelled, they are much harder for teachers and lost-property teams to match back to the right student. We recommend you label every item with our sew in or iron on or heat transfer or peel and stick labels.
What is the best way to label kids’ clothes for school?
For school clothes, the best option is a durable clothing label that can handle regular washing and everyday wear. Labels that are sewn in, ironed on or heat applied are usually better than temporary markers because they stay legible for longer.
Do iron-on labels really stay on?
Yes, iron-on labels can stay on very well when they are applied correctly. A strong bond depends on the right heat, firm pressure and enough cooling time before the label is handled or washed.
How do I label school uniforms so they don’t get lost?
Label every high-risk item, including jumpers, cardigans, hats, jackets, sports tops and spare clothing. The most effective approach is to use our long-lasting labels that remains readable through repeated washing throughout the school year.
How do I apply iron-on clothing labels?
Place the label in the desired position, cover it with the recommended protective sheet or cloth, then press firmly with a dry iron for the stated time. Let it cool fully before peeling any backing or wearing the garment.
How long do you iron on name labels?
The exact time depends on the label type, but most iron-on labels need firm pressure for around 30 to 45 seconds. Follow the product instructions carefully, because heat, fabric type and pressure all affect the final bond.
Can you iron on labels without a steam iron?
Yes. In fact, iron-on labels are typically applied with a dry iron rather than steam. Steam can interfere with adhesion, so a dry setting is usually the safest choice.
